03. WINDOW~JEWEL~VESTIBULE

Let's pop back indoors  and have a closer look at the smallest room in the house: the vestibule. Inside 'Ardsona's welcoming red front doors there is a small but attractive vestibule with double glass doors separating it from the Main Hall. There is a coat closet on the right and a floating shelf with all white accessories on the left. Above the shelf is an original commissioned painting, 'Goatfell & Brodick Bay', by well known Scottish artist, Deborah Phillis, of Dundee. You will likely have seen some of Deborah's fine works reproduced on note cards, including this one. A framed note card hangs under the original and another card and envelope can be seen on shelf below.  Above the glass doors, white raised architectural letters offer a subtle but sincere  'FAILTE GU ARDSONA' - or - 'WELCOME TO ARDSONA'.  This is complimented above the outside doors with the traditional Scottish, 'HASTE YE BACK', warm farewell message to departing visitors.   However, the purpose of this post is to feature the natural beauty glimpsed through the small leaded glass windows that artfully frame views of Mountains, Firth and Bay. Enjoy!

Thank you for visiting and 'Haste Ye Back', or better still, enjoy the...
